Group Volunteers

Philly House would not exist without dedicated supporters and volunteers like you who help transform the lives and make an impact on our city.

We invite churches, college groups, businesses and other organizations to serve alongside Philly House as we open our doors 365 days a year to the homeless, hungry and hurting to activate their God-given potential for life transformation.

To ensure adequate time to plan and coordinate a group, we are currently scheduling serving opportunities a minimum of four weeks ahead of visits.

How Your Group Can Serve

Serve a Meal

Volunteer groups of no larger than ten people can help serve lunch or dinner at Philly House Sunday through Saturday. Groups will serve guests as they’re seated in the dining room and support clean-up throughout the meal.

Lunch
11:45 AM to 1:15 PM

Dinner
4:30 PM to 6:15 PM

Schedule a Project

Volunteer groups can participate in a three to four-hour service project. A service day often begins with a tour of the Philly House facilities and can include serving a meal and pitching in with a facility-based project.

To schedule your group volunteer experience, please complete an interest form so that we can coordinate an opportunity that serves our guests and meets the needs of your group!

Sponsor a Meal

As you consider volunteering as a group, we encourage you to consider sponsoring a meal service for our guests. It only costs $550 to serve the 245 guests we see at our breakfasts and dinners. Or a gift of $280 provides lunch for 125 guests. By including financial support when you serve you are ensuring that every homeless guest receives the support and care they need each and every day.

Individual Volunteers

As a volunteer at Philly House, you help facilitate transformation in the lives of our guests.
