But with the recession still lingering, people are having a hard time making ends meet. “We recently had a program alumni return,” said Chaplain Clay Parks. “His hours were cut back from full-time to 20 hours a week, and he can’t afford his apartment anymore.”

Building Emergency

Watch your mailbox for a letter regarding our building emergency. In late May, we learned that the masonry along the top of our building is severely damaged and is in imminent danger of collapse. The repair work is estimated to cost more than $100,000. If we don’t fix the problem, our building could be unfit to provide meals and shelter for the homeless.
