Intern Chaplain Fred likes to joke that every time he walks into a rowdy room, it immediately becomes calm. He thinks it’s because he has a commanding presence. Fred is 6 foot tall, has broad shoulders, and some days wears a serious expression on his face. Many people would be surprised to learn that Fred was bullied throughout his life, and had a contentious relationship with his father.
Jazmin always wanted to provide a good life for her family and a safe place for them to call home. But as a single mother, she struggled to make this dream a reality. With God and encouragement from the staff at Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission’s Wayne Hall, Jazmin saved her money, stepped out on faith, and rented her own home.
In addition to meeting basic life needs for men, the Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission enables those men who are committed to a positive life change to address their problems through an intensive 16-month program.
The purpose of Wayne Hall, the women’s ministry of Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission, is to teach women how to restructure their lives according to the Word of God.
Volunteer opportunities for groups with Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission take place at our Center City and Germantown locations.
Churches, schools, businesses, and other organizations can help the homeless and hurting men and women at the Mission by collecting non-perishable food items.
