06.09.08 Relief from the Heat
It's currently 94 degrees outside, and our day room is packed with people trying to escape the heat. Thankfully, our day room and chapel are air conditioned. We're also offering cold water to keep people hydrated.
06.03.08 Rescue Missions Gather in Dallas
Staff members have just returned from the 95th Convention of the Association of Gospel Rescue Missions in Dallas, Texas. The week included several training seminars that will help us improve our ministry to the homeless and addicted. It was also a great opportunity to learn what other missions are doing around the country and to share ideas.
04.05.08 Philly Clean Up
Sunday Breakfast participated in the city-wide Philly Clean Up Day on Saturday, April 5th. Volunteers gathered at the mission to receive supplies (brooms, gloves, trash bags) and then hit the streets to clean the surrounding neighborhood. We appreciate everyone who volunteered their time!

03.29.08 Obadiah Band
The Obadiah Band from Calvary Chapel performed its second concert at the Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission on Saturday, March 29th. A volunteer group passed out invitations to homeless people on the streets near the Mission, and posters advertised the event in the Mission's dayroom.
A large crowd gathered to hear the band and eat dinner afterward. Staff members and friends of the mission donated homemade desserts that were served with dinner after the concert. What a special treat the evening was!
