Volunteer
There are lots of ways for you to get involved whether you want to come by yourself or bring a group, work directly with people or more behind the scenes. Whether you have a special skill or talent, or your only ability is availability, take a look at some of the listings below and read through our guidelines. Generally, we have volunteer hours Monday to Saturday 10am-7pm. If you are interested in helping out or would like more information, just click the appropriate link to fill out an application. Individual Opportunities

- Child Care (evenings - women only, please)
- Tutor (high school level math and english for GED prep)
- Administration (stuff mail, data entry, filing, make phone calls, etc)
- Food Service
- Counseling
- Holiday Meals
- Painting/Cleaning/Maintenance
- Sort Donations
Group Projects
Would you like to bring a group from your church, family and friends, coworkers, etc.? Groups can serve lunch at 12:30 or dinner at 6 pm on most days. Your group can also work on a service project for a couple of hours before or after the meal if you want to stay longer. For most projects, 10-12 volunteers is plenty, but we can also arrange some special projects for larger groups. - Work Projects (painting, cleaning, sorting donations, stuffing mail, etc)
- Food Drives
- Prepare/serve a meal
- Lead a chapel/worship service
Guidelines
These are some of our guidelines for your safety and for the benefit of our clients.
Conduct
- Treat clients, staff, and property with respect, dignity, and love.
- Always follow staff instructions and directives.
- Foul language will not be tolerated.
- We ask that no handouts be given to anyone at the mission.
- Be sure to get everyone's permission when taking photographs.
- Stay with your group and make sure your leader and/or mission staff knows where you are at all times.
Dress Code
- No offensive, suggestive, violent, or revealing clothing should be worn.
- No shorts in the kitchen
- No open-toed shoes
