Women’s Program

Wayne Hall

The purpose of Wayne Hall, the women’s ministry of Sunday Breakfast Rescue Mission, is to teach women how to restructure their lives according to the Word of God. This is accomplished through a Christian discipleship program that encompasses evening Bible classes in parenting, life skills, finance, discipleship, and etiquette.

Devotions and Bible Study Group are offered during the day.

Residents stay in the program for up to one year. Upon graduation, residents move into permanent housing and receive alumni support.

To be qualified, residents must be/have:

~Homeless or in acute need of housing
~Female single parent or pregnant
~18 years of age or older
~Receptive to Biblical teaching
~No acute psychiatric or medical conditions
~No severe drug or alcohol addiction


Wayne Hall is located in a historic home in the Germantown neighborhood of Philadelphia. The cozy atmosphere provides a private room for each woman, with common living and kitchen space. The bedrooms are outfitted with extra beds for children. The largest room can accommodate a woman with five children. The maximum occupancy is a total of 33 women and children.
